Understanding the Internet

Before we try to find information on the Internet, it is important to understand what exactly the Internet is and how it works.

The Internet is a network of networks. It is the collective term for all the computers around the world that are connected in a global network. There are many different types of computers connected to the Internet, and not all have the same role.

Most computers accessible over the Internet contain unique information. This variety of computers and information contributes to the Internet's amazing amount of data. Unfortunately, this variety can make it very difficult for us to find information.
