 The Scent Keeper - Erica Bauermeister - From the author of The School of Essential Ingredients, this endearing story imparts "how a fragrance conjures memories capable of shaping the course of our lives."  A Philosophy of Ruin - Nicholas Mancusi - Oscar, a philosophy professor, grieving the sudden death of his mother who lost the family savings to an infomercial guru, sleeps with Dawn who he does not realize is his student until he sees her in class the next day. Dawn, a newbie campus drug lord, enlists Oscar in a drug run. Tense but tender, this is a vivid exploration of the chaos grief can cause. Supper Club - Lara Williams - "A sharply intelligent and intimate debut novel about a secret society of hungry young women who meet after dark and feast to reclaim their appetites - and their physical spaces - that posits the question: If you feed a starving woman, what will she grow into?"
