Library Director's Report - March 9, 2016 1. We have received our 2016 funding from the Town of Wallkill. 2. Thanks to all of our Trustees who participated in NYLA Advocacy Day 2016. On Wednesday March 2 there were hundreds of librarians, library workers, Trustees, Friends of Libraries and Library Champions from all over the State in Albany to meet with our legislators. About 120 people from the RCLS and MHLS regions traveled to Albany on buses paid for with donations from Friends of Libraries groups and other donors or attended on their own. Meetings were scheduled with all of our State legislators. It is still possible to send an e-mail to our legislators to speak up for NYS Library Aid by visiting the NYLA Online Advocacy Center: https://www.nyla.org/max/4DCGI/cms/review.html? Action=CMS_Document&DocID=58&MenuKey=advocacy 3.
