Middletown Thrall Library to Present Historical Exhibit - Benjamin Franklin: In Search of a New World, June 4, 2008 to July 25, 2008

About the Exhibit

Middletown Thrall Library is honored to host this national traveling panel exhibit entitled "Benjamin Franklin: In Search of a Better World."

In panel reproductions of rare historical documents, period portraits, cartoons, and memorabilia, this exhibition, created in honor of Franklin's 300th birthday in 2006, will allow you to experience the adventures and remarkable achievements of this extraordinary man.

Middletown Thrall Library was selected as one of only 20 original libraries nationwide to participate in the tour.

"Benjamin Franklin: In Search of a Better World" was organized by the Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary, Philadelphia, and the American Library Association, Public Programs Office.

The traveling exhibition for libraries has been made possible by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities: great ideas brought to life.
