ANGLO-SWISS CONDENSED MILK CO.: One of Middletown's largest factory buildings was the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company on Canal Street. Originally built in the 1860's (see above photo), it was enlarged to its present size. In 1902, it became Borden's Condensed Milk Co. A view of the enlarged plant is at left.
