NORTH CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH (Linden Avenue): To serve worshippers in the North end of the city, the North Street Congregational Church was erected at 275 North Street in the late 1800s. The building is now (1988) the Spanish Pentecostal Church Assemblies of God, axl is shown in a 1910 photo above. The present church on Linden Avenue was opened October 4, 1931. Whitman S. Wick was the architect. A postcard view of the church is at left. (Photo by Cy Steg).
FIRST CHURCH OF CHRIST, SCIENTIST (Grove Street): The original Christian Science Church was in a remodeled house at 12 Orchard Street. On June 9, 1963, during Milletown's Diamond Jubilee Celebration, the present church was opened on Grove Street. Frank L. Howe was the architect. The church is shown below in a 1981 photo.
