(11/08/17 - 75) Building & Grounds: Ms. Lange reported on Building & Grounds: We continue to monitor the activity associated with the skateboard park. With cooler temperatures and shorter days there seems to be less use of the park although we continue to have issues with loitering in the street in back of the employee parking spaces during weekday afternoons and weekend hours. Earlier in the year we eliminated money reserved for carpet cleaning from the budget. We recently discovered that we now have the funds necessary to do this. I have received and estimate from a contractor and with Board approval I would like to close the Library on Sunday, November 19th to have the cleaning done. We also have money available to purchase comfortable reading chairs, a table for public use and for the purchase of some replacement computers and associated equipment. Our exterminating contractor has informed us that we are not experiencing any infestation issues in the building. Mr. Berkowiz moved that we will close the library on Sunday, November 19, 2017 to clean the carpets. Ms. Martini seconded.
