Minutes of the Organizational Meeting
Thrall Public Library District of Middletown and Wallkill
Board of Trustees
January 9, 2013

I. Call to Order

Mrs. Rosa Boyd, opened the reorganizational meeting of the Thrall Public Library District
of Middletown & Wallkill Board of Trustees at 7:00pm.
Attendance

Ms. Marlena Lange
Mrs. Lois Ruckert

II. Pledge of Allegiance

Mrs. Rosa Boyd led the pledge.

III. Election of Officers

The nominating committee, announced the following slate of officers:
Rosa Boyd - President
Lois Ruckert - Vice President
Tonia Crown - Secretary
Barbara Kay - Treasurer
There being no other nominations, Mr. Berkowitz moved that the Board accept the slate of
officers as presented. Mr. Bell seconded.


AYES: Bell, Berkowitz, Boyd, Crown, Lange, Ruckert - 6
Noes: None

IV. Designation of Official Newspaper

Mr. Bell moved to designate the Middletown Times Herald Record as the official
newspaper. Mrs. Ruckert seconded.


AYES: Bell, Berkowitz, Boyd, Crown, Lange, Ruckert - 6
Noes: None

V. Designation of Official Bank

Mrs. Ruckert moved to nominate the Orange County Trust Company as the official bank
for the library. Ms. Lange seconded

Noes: None

Motion declared approved. (01/09/13 - 3)     



VI. Designation of Official Investment Firm

Ms. Lange moved to nominate the Stifel-Nicholas firm as the official investment firm. Mrs.
Ruckert seconded.

Noes: None

VI. Appointment of Attorney

Mrs. Ruckert moved to appoint Robert Isseks as the Library District's attorney. Mr. Bell
seconded.

VII. Adjournment

Mr. Berkowitz moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:05 pm. Mrs. Ruckert seconded.
