January 9, 2019


I. Call to Order

Mr. Matthew Pfisterer, opened the reorganizational meeting of the Thrall Public Library
District of Middletown & Wallkill Board of Trustees at 5:00pm.

II. Pledge of Allegiance

Mr. Pfisterer led the pledge.


III. Election of Officers

Mr. Pfisterer, announced the following slate of officers:
Carol S. Berkowitz – President
Marianne Sciucco - Vice President
Linda Martini – Secretary
Tonia Crown – Financial Officer

There being no other nominations, Mr. Berkowitz moved to accept the slate of officers as
presented. Mr. Bell seconded.
Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Boyd, Lange, Martini, Sciucco – 6
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (01/9/19 – 1)


IV. Designation of Official Newspaper

Mr. Bell moved to designate the Middletown Times Herald Record as the official
newspaper. Mrs. Sciucco seconded.
Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Boyd, Lange, Martini, Sciucco – 6
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (01/9/19 – 2)


V. Designation of Official Bank

Ms. Lange moved to nominate the Orange Bank and Trust as the official bank
for the library. Mrs. Sciucco seconded
Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Boyd, Lange, Martini, Sciucco – 6
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (01/9/19 – 3)


VI. Designation of Official Investment Firm

Mr. Bell moved to nominate the Stifel-Nicholas firm as the official investment firm.
Ms. Martini seconded.
Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Boyd, Lange, Martini, Sciucco – 6
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (01/9/19 – 4)


VI. Appointment of Attorney

Ms. Lange moved to appoint Alex Smith as the Library District's attorney. Mrs. Boyd
seconded.
Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Boyd, Lange, Martini, Sciucco– 6
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (01/9/19 – 5)

VII. Adjournment
Mrs. Boyd moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:06 pm. Ms. Lange seconded.
