Board of Trustees


January 11, 2017

I. Call to Order
Mr. Matthew Pfisterer, opened the reorganizational meeting of the Thrall Public Library
District of Middletown & Wallkill Board of Trustees at 5:01pm.

II. Pledge of Allegiance
Mr. Pfisterer led the pledge.



III. Election of Officers
Mr. Berkowitz, announced the following slate of officers:
Richard C. Bell - President
Carl S. Berkowitz Vice President
Marianne Sciucco - Secretary
Tonia Crown - Financial Officer

There being no other nominations, Mr. Berkowitz moved to accept the slate of officers as
presented. Ms. Martini seconded. Mrs. Bell asked if there are any nominations from the
floor. Hearing none, the Secretary will cast one ballot for the slate of officers as presented.
Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Boyd, Lange, Martini, Sciucco - 6
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (01/11/17 - 1)



IV. Designation of Official Newspaper
Mr. Berkowitz moved to designate the Middletown Times Herald Record as the official
newspaper. Mrs. Boyd seconded.
Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Boyd, Lange, Martini, Sciucco - 6
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (01/11/17 - 2)



V. Designation of Official Bank
Mr. Berkowitz moved to nominate the Orange Bank and Trust as the official bank
for the library. Mrs. Sciucco seconded
Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Boyd, Lange, Martini, Sciucco - 6
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (01/11/17 - 3)


VI. Designation of Official Investment Firm
Mr. Berkowitz moved to nominate the Stifel-Nicholas firm as the official investment firm.
Ms. Lange seconded.
Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Boyd, Lange, Martini, Sciucco - 6
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (01/11/17 - 4)


VI. Appointment of Attorney
Ms. Lange moved to appoint Robert Isseks as the Library District's attorney. Mrs. Boyd
seconded.

Noes: None

VII. Adjournment
Mr. Berkowitz moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:08 pm. Mrs. Lange seconded.
