III. Discussion and Recommendation

A. Mr. Bell, President, opened the meeting at 5:10pm and did not redo The Pledge.



B. Minutes

Ms. Lange moved for adoption of the minutes, with corrections, of the December 8, 2021
meeting. Mr. Berkowitz seconded.

Ayes: Bell, Sciucco, Berkowitz, Lange, Smith, Crown - (6)

C. Visitor Comments/Staff Report

Brent Napoleon reported on the audit of 2020. Field work for the 2021 audit will most
likely begin in March of 2022.

Tracy Barretta will be completing the 2021 year-end Financial Reports in February of
2022.



D. Correspondence

A copy of any correspondence is sent to each Board member and is attached to the official
minutes.



E. President's Report

F. Director's Report
(A copy of the Director's Report sent to each Board member is attached to the official
minutes.) Also reported that Donation from Friends of The Library was received.



G. Financial Officer's Report

No Report (Moved to February).



H. Committee Reports

Building & Grounds: I have informed both HVAC contractors of the acceptance of their
proposals to evaluate our current system. I expect the work will begin in the near future.

We continue to drain the condensation lines for the gas boiler system. So far the system is
operating without interruption. I have heard back from our HVAC contractor who
informed me he has ordered the materials necessary and will contact me when they arrive.

Our exterminating contractor has informed us that we are not currently experiencing any
infestation issues.


Ms. Lange moved to go into executive session at 5:55pm to discuss contracts &
administrative salaries. Bishop Smith seconded.

I. Old Business

The Board went into executive session to discuss P/T and Administrative salaries. Mr.
Berkowitz moved to have the Part Time staffs wages increased according to the terms set
forth during Executive Session. Mrs. Crown seconded.

Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (1/12/22-9)


Ms. Lange then moved to have the Administrative salaries also increased according to
the terms discussed in Executive Session. Mrs. Crown seconded.

Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (1/12/22-10)

K. Adjournment

Ms. Lange moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:05pm. Mr. Bishop seconded.
