January 12, 2022


I. Call to Order

Mr. Matthew Pfisterer, opened the reorganizational meeting of the Thrall Public Library
District of Middletown & Wallkill Board of Trustees at 5:00pm.

III. Election of Officers

Mr. Berkowitz, announced the following slate of officers:
Richard C. Bell - President
Marianne Sciucco - Vice President
Ms. Marlena Lange - Secretary
Tonia Crown - Financial Officer

There being no other nominations, Mr. Bell moved to accept the slate of officers as
presented. No one seconded (Entire Slate Unanimous Vote).
Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Lange, Crown, Sciucco, Smith - 6
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (01/12/22 -1)


IV. Designation of Official Newspaper
Bishop Smith moved to designate the Middletown Times Herald Record as the official
newspaper. Mrs. Crown seconded.
Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Lange, Crown, Sciucco, Smith - 6
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (01/12/22-2)


V. Designation of Official Bank
Mr. Berkowitz moved to nominate the Orange Bank and Trust as the official bank
for the library. Ms. Lange seconded
Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Lange, Crown, Sciucco, Smith - 6
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (01/12/22-3)


VI. Appointment of Attorneys
Mrs. Crown moved to appoint Alex Smith and Elizabeth Hunter as the Library District's
Attorneys. Bishop Smith seconded.
Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Lange, Crown, Sciucco, Smith- 6
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (01/12/22 - 4)


VII. Adjournment
Mr. Berkowitz moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:09 pm. Mrs. Sciucco seconded.
