Thrall Public Library District of Middletown and Wallkill
Board of Trustees
January 13, 2010

I. Call to Order

Ms. Marlena Lange, opened the reorganizational meeting of the Thrall Public Library District
of Middletown & Wallkill Board of Trustees at 6:56pm.
Attendance

Ms. Marlena Lange
Mrs. Lois Ruckert

II. Pledge of Allegiance

Ms. Marlena Lange led the pledge.

III. Election of Officers

The nominating committee, announced the following slate of officers:
Carl S. Berkowitz – President
Rosa Boyd – Vice President
Lois Ruckert – Secretary
Barbara Kay - Treasurer
There being no other nominations, Mrs. Ruckert cast one yes vote for the slate of officers.


AYES: Ruckert - 1
Declared approved. (01/13/10 – 1)

IV. Designation of Official Newspaper

Mrs. Boyd moved to designate the Middletown Times Herald Record as the official
newspaper. Mr. Berkowitz seconded.


AYES: Bell, Berkowitz, Boyd, Crown, Lange, Ruckert – 6
Noes: None

Motion declared approved. (01/13/10 – 2)

V. Designation of Official Bank

Mrs. Ruckert moved to nominate the Orange County Trust Company as the official bank
for the library. Mr. Bell seconded


AYES: Bell, Berkowitz, Lange, Crown, Ruckert, Boyd – 6
Noes: None

Motion declared approved. (01/13/10 – 3)



VI. Reappointment of Richard Guertin as Attorney

Mrs. Ruckert moved to reappoint Richard Guertin as the library district attorney. Mrs.
Boyd seconded.


AYES: Bell, Berkowitz, Lange, Crown, Ruckert, Boyd – 6
Noes: None

Motion declared approved. (01/13/10 – 4)



VII. Adjournment

Mr. Berkowitz moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:00 pm. Mrs. Ruckert seconded.
