Minutes of the Organizational Meeting
Thrall Public Library District of Middletown and Wallkill
Board of Trustees
January 14, 2009

I. Call to Order

Ms. Marlena Lange, opened the reorganizational meeting of
the Thrall Public Library District
of Middletown & Wallkill Board of Trustees at 7:00pm.
Attendance

Mr. Carl Berkowitz
Mrs. Joan Hutchinson
Ms. Marlena Lange
Mrs. Lois Ruckert
Mrs. Rosa Boyd (arrived at 7:03)
Mr. Kevin J. Gallagher, Director

Ms. Barbara Kay (excused)

II. Pledge of Allegiance

Ms. Marlena Lange led the pledge.

III. Election of Officers

The nominating committee, announced the following slate of
officers:
Marlena F. Lange - President
Carl S. Berkowitz - Vice President
Joan Hutchinson - Secretary
Barbara Kay - Treasurer
Mr. Bell moved that the slate of officers be accepted as
proposed. Mrs. Ruckert
seconded.


AYES: Bell, Berkowitz, Lange, Hutchinson, Ruckert - 5
Noes: None

Motion declared approved. (01/14/09 - 1)



IV. Designation of Official Newspaper

Mr. Berkowitz moved to designate the Middletown Times Herald
Record as the official
newspaper. Mrs. Ruckert seconded.


AYES: Bell, Berkowitz, Hutchinson, Lange, Ruckert - 5
Noes: None

Motion declared approved. (01/14/09 - 2)



V. Designation of Official Bank

Mrs. Hutchinson moved to nominate the Orange County Trust
Company as the official bank
for the library. Mrs. Boyd seconded

Noes: None

VI. Reappointment of Richard Guertin as Attorney

Mrs. Boyd moved to reappoint Richard Guertin as the library
district attorney. Mrs.
Hutchinson seconded.

Noes: None

Motion declared approved. (01/14/09 - 4)



VII. Adjournment

Mr. Berkowitz moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:07 pm. Mrs.
Ruckert seconded.
