Minutes of the Organizational Meeting
Thrall Public Library District of Middletown and Wallkill
Board of Trustees
January 20, 2016

I. Call to Order

Mrs. Lois Ruckert, opened the reorganizational meeting of the Thrall Public Library District
of Middletown & Wallkill Board of Trustees at 5:00pm.
Attendance

II. Pledge of Allegiance

Mrs. Lois Ruckert led the pledge.

III. Election of Officers

The nominating committee, announced the following slate of officers:
Tonia Crown - President
Richard Bell - Vice President
Carl Berkowitz - Secretary
Barbara Kay - Financial Officer
There being no other nominations, Ms. Lange moved to accept the slate of officers as


presented. Mr. Berkowitz seconded. Mrs. Ruckert asked if there are any nominations from the
floor. Hearing none, the Secretary will cast one ballot for the slate of officers as presented.

Noes: None

IV. Designation of Official Newspaper

Ms. Lange moved to designate the Middletown Times Herald Record as the official
newspaper. Mrs. Crown seconded.

V. Designation of Official Bank

Mrs. Crown moved to nominate the Orange County Trust Company as the official bank
for the library. Mrs. Lange seconded

Motion declared approved. (01/20/16 - 3)     



VI. Designation of Official Investment Firm

Mr. Berkowitz moved to nominate the Stifel-Nicholas firm as the official investment firm.
Mrs. Crown seconded.

VI. Appointment of Attorney

Ms. Lange moved to appoint Robert Isseks as the Library District's attorney. Mr. Berkowitz
seconded.

VII. Adjournment

Mr. Berkowitz moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:04 pm. Ms. Lange seconded.
