Mr. Pfisterer reported that the Library has received the tax check from the Town of
Wallkill and Wawayanda. We also received a check from the Friends.

Building & Grounds: Ms. Lange reported on Building & Grounds.
Mr. Pfisterer received a bid from one of two HVAC providers of which he requested
estimates for replacement of the Library's gas boilers.

The Library experienced a sharp increase in the number of patrons who are asking to use
The libraries phones for personal business. The current policy is to allow patrons to use
the library phones to arrange for transportation from the library (call a cab or
friend/relative). We are directing individuals who have no cell phone to go to Social
Services center on Fulton Street and request to use their phones. We are also providing
information about how people can obtain a free cell phone through the "Lifelines"
program. I have submitted a request to obtain a Lifelines phone to be used at the Library
by individuals who do not have a cell phone and will follow up in the near future.

We are experimenting with rearrangement of library furniture on the first floor of the
building. We are looking for ways in which we can reduce crowding in the area between
the elevator and the staircase.

Our exterminating company has reported that the Library is free of insect infestations.

Ms. Lange moved to go into executive session at 5:58pm to discuss potential employment
