A. Mr. Richard Bell, President, opened the meeting at 5:00pm and led the pledge.


B. Minutes
Ms. Lange moved for adoption of the minutes of the February 8, 2017 meeting. Mrs.
Crown seconded.

Mr. Bell would like to congratulate the Friends for getting an article in the newspaper.

Mr. Pfisterer reported on the accounts and balances.


H. Committee Reports
Mr. Berkowitz moved that the regular monthly disbursements for February, 2017 in the
amount of $127,854.33 having been audited by Marlena Lange and found to be correct, be
approved. Mrs. Boyd seconded.

Mr. Berkowitz moved that the Board of Trustees of Middletown Thrall Library accepts
the following budget transfer, to cover price increases and allow for purchase of a
subscription to Artist Works:

Building & Grounds: Ms. Lange reported on Building & Grounds.
We have installed a new lamppost in the front of the building.

We have completed four fire drills during our regular hours of operation. We will be
calling the fire department for our yearly fire inspection.

Our exterminator has reported that we are not currently experiencing any infestation
issues in the building.


I. Old Business
Mr. Berkowitz reported on Advocacy Day held on March 1, 2017.


J. New Business
Mrs. Boyd moved for the proposed change to the Bylaws, Article II - Board of Directors,
Section 1, The Board of Trustees shall consist of seven members duly elected by
residents of the Library District at an election to be held the first Tuesday in
October, for a term of four years. No more than two Trustees shall be elected each
year, unless a vacancy occurs. Vacancies may be filled by appointment of the Board
to serve until the next annual election, or until the end of the term, whichever comes
first. Mr. Berkowitz seconded.

Mrs. Boyd moved to adopt the Library District's 2016 Annual Report. Ms. Lange
seconded.

Mrs. Crown moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:42pm. Ms. Martini seconded.
