A. Mr. Berkowitz, President, opened the meeting at 5:01pm and held a moment of silence.


B. Minutes

Ms. Lange moved for adoption of the minutes of the March 11, 2020 meeting. Mrs.
Sciucco seconded.
Ayes: Berkowitz, Lange, Martini, Crown, Sciucco - 5

D. Correspondence

A copy of any correspondence is sent to each Board member and is attached to the official
minutes.

Mr. Berkowitz discussed that he wrote a letter to Senator Jen Metzger about cuts to
Libraries. (attached to official minutes)

The Board tabled disbursements, amendments and transfers.


H. Committee Reports

Building & Grounds: The building was closed to the public in response to the Enlarged
City of Middletown School District's decision to suspend classes on March 13, 2020.
The building remains closed to the public at this time in accordance with State and
County public health guidelines.

I have established a remote connection to the building's gas boilers and I am able to
regulate the system output via the internet and my home computer.

The building infrastructure is inspected every few days and there are no structural issues
at this time.

I have asked the Head Custodian to change the staff pass code to enter the building to
prevent any unauthorized staff member from entering the building. This required the
ordering of a special tool which should arrive shortly and enable the change to be made in
the very near future.

J. New Business

Ms. Lange moved that the Board accept the Pandemic Policy as presented. Mrs. Sciucco
seconded.

Noes: None

Mrs. Crown moved that the Board adopt the Thrall Public Library District of
Middletown & Wallkill Employees as part of the Library's Pandemic Response Policy.
Ms. Martini seconded.

K. Adjournment

Mr. Bell moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:33pm. Mrs. Sciucco seconded.
