A. Mrs. Tonia Crown, President, opened the meeting at 7:00pm and led the pledge.

Mr. Berkowitz, moved to open the Public Hearing for the Thrall Public Library District on
the 2017 Budget at 7:02pm. Ms. Kay seconded.

Mrs. Boyd moved for adoption of the minutes of the July 13, 2016 meeting. Ms.

Library accepts the following budget transfer:

Building & Grounds: Ms. Lange reported on Building & Grounds.
The application for the NYS DLD Construction Grant was submitted electronically and
the required accompanying documents were delivered to RCLS on September 1, 2016.

The library carpets were cleaned professionally on August 20, 2016. The greatest benefit
of the cleaning was the removal of dirt and allergens from the building and both the air
quality and appearance of the carpet is much improved.



H. Committee Reports
Building & Grounds Con't.: A roof became clogged during a moderate rain event in
August and a few ceiling tiles in the Children's room were damaged by the accumulation
of water and leak that followed. The tiles have been repaired and clog has been
removed.

A service call was placed to the company that services our cooling system on
Wednesday, September 7, 2016.

Our exterminator has reported that we are experiencing no infestations anywhere in the
building.

Mr. Berkowitz moved to go into executive session at 7:39pm for the purpose of pending
litigation. Mrs. Boyd seconded.

J. New Business
Mr. Berkowitz discussed nominations for Board of Trustees at RCLS. Discussion
followed.
Mr. Berkowitz moved that Middletown Thrall Library second the nomination of Anita
Bauman to fill out her term on the RCLS Board. Mrs. Boyd seconded.

Mrs. Boyd discussed a tri-fold brochure with information on the library.
