Why Are Viruses Bad?

Viruses can temporarily or permanently disable your computer, or render your computer inhospitable by defacing or modifying parts of your computer's software in any number of ways.

If your computer were to get infected with a virus, you might not be able to use it. If you could still use it, you then run the risk of helping the virus spread to other programs on your computer and possibly other computers through any disks you may use or through your Internet connection if you have one.
