Who Created these Viruses?

Unfortunately, people make them. Computer viruses appear to be created with the intent of annoying or disturbing users or programs, or destroying information. Some people behind these maladies profess to create them in order to "demonstrate weaknesses" in a program or computer system, while others have darker motives yet, sometimes to do harm to a user, a group of users, or as many users as possible.

"Why" is a question often asked. Many explanations abound. One popular suggestion seems to be that some in this group of misguided talents want to boost their popularity among their peers. Other reasons include lashing out at large corporations and "making statements" concerning current events or political ideologies.
