General Fiction
 In the Country - Mia Alvar - Nine short stories following Filipino diaspora as they move to New York, the Middle East and Europe and sometimes back home again. Spanning from the 1970's through the present, the stories touch on universal subjects such as defining home, social class strife and discovering truths about life and family. The Jesus Cow - Michael Perry - Harley Jackson is struggling to keep his family's cattle farm when on Christmas Eve, a calf is born on the farm with markings that look unmistakably like the face of Jesus. Fearing the attention, Harley tries to hide the calf but soon it is discovered setting off a #JesusCow media storm with Harley at the center. A charming and quirky satire. Dietland - Sarai Walker - Plum Kettle writes an advice column for a fashion magazine from the safety of her own home, avoiding scrutiny about her weight. While planning her gastric surgery, Plum is given a manifesto from a secret society of radical women fighting against societal perceptions of women, throwing Plum into the center of a crime spree. The Household Spirit - Tod Wodicka - Howie Jeffries has lived alone in rural Glens Falls, New York since his wife and daughter moved out. His neighbor, Emily Phane is a college student 20 years his junior who has returned home to care for her aging grandfather. Emily's erratic behavior catches Howie's eye, and when tragedy strikes, the two develop an unexpected friendship.

 Valley of the Shadow - Ralph Peters - Through the summer and fall of 1864, the Civil War raged on in a battle over Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. Valley of the Shadow follows the heroes, large and small, real and fictitious, through the bloody battles fought over this vital pathway between the North and South. Only the Strong - Jabari Asim - Three tales intertwine to paint a portrait of aspects of the African-American experience in a midwestern city in the 1970's. The stories move from "Guts" Tolliver, a former gang "leg-breaker" trying to make good to that of gangster-boss/ business man Ananias Goode and end with Charlotte Divine, a college student raised in the neighborhood, working hard to get out.

 The Truth and Other Lies - Sascha Arango - Henry Hayden is a best-selling author who has built his life and success on deception. His wife, who is really the author of his books, is killed shortly after his mistress becomes pregnant, and Henry finds himself caught in a web of lies with his past and the police catching up with him.

 Hell or High Water - Julie Ann Walker - Retired Navy SEAL Leo Anderson is determined to live a life free from danger and to forget CIA Agent Olivia Mortier. However when Olivia asks his team for help finding a capsule of chemical weapons lost at sea, they can't refuse. If Leo and Olivia can survive the assignment, can their passion survive as well? Rumor Has It - Cheris Hodges - Liz Palmer is ecstatic when two of her closest friends, Chante and Robert, announce their engagement. Things get complicated when Liz discovers that Robert, an up and coming politician, has not been faithful. Liz unsuccessfully tries to get Robert's political opponent to expose the truth, creating sparks all around.

 Uprooted - Naomi Novik - As a young girl, Agnieszka is chosen to serve Dragon, a secretive man who protects the village from the evil Wood in this fairy tale reminiscent of Grimm. Surprised that she was the one chosen, Agnieszka begins her ten year term and finds herself to be a heroine with a fine capacity for magic. Archangel - Marguerite Reed - Vashti Loren is a settler on Ubastis, a new space colony established as the Earth plunges into environmental despair. The colonists struggle to survive, and the influx of "offworlders" and investors looking to further colonization on Ubastis creates a conflict that puts the survival of the colony and the planet in peril. First in a new series.

 Method 15/33 - Shannon Kirk - A pregnant teenager is kidnapped by a gang with plans for both her and her baby, but she is having none of it, methodically planning her escape and her revenge. While FBI agent Roger Liu narrows in on her captors, she itemizes everything at her disposal and determines that method 15/33 is her best chance for freedom.
